Alex was born surrounded by music, very young he starts developing his aptitudes as percussionist and batterist. His dedication has taken him from Africa to Europe, and from there to America and Asia. He shows great versatility as interpreter without leaving his African traditions and rhythms, assembling and adapting them to any style (jazz, flamenco, reggae). He developed his work in several aspects. As study musician he worked both with national and international artists (Herman Brood y Nina Hagen), with more than 20 recordings. As a teacher, he teaches battery and percussion classes and, he also gives clinics with the prestigius Sonor battery brand, of which he is endorser. And as composer he puts on stage his Papa Ikot project, where he reviews African rhytms like Mbangambé, M’ballack, DoomÓdoom Bá, Asiko or Bikutsí, mixing them with jazz , flamenco or reggae.
