Horse ride "The awakening of the Snake"

  Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian company created by Guy Laliberté and Daniel Gauthier in 1984 in Montreal, Québec (Canadá). Its shows are known worldwide for of their incredible acrobatics, creativity, light and sound effects, music and scenography, with which they have amazed more than 125 million people.

El despertar de la Serpiente is the name of the horse ride that will hop around the rooms of the Expo Zaragoza 2008, under the artistic direction of the Cirque du Soleil.

After becoming very successful all around the world with shows like Dralion, Alegría, Quidam and Saltimbanco, among others, the Canadian company designs a show that will be shown for the first time in Spain. The creators of the horseÓride Expo Zaragoza 2008 have adopted the principles of the International Exposition related with the central topic, “Water and Sustainable Development” in order to represent it in a “spectacular, ludic, with a playful
turn, a motto that is common to all the performances by the company.

A snake will also go around the Expo premises for one hour approximately. During their trip, they will make five stops and will represent the legend El despertar de la serpiente utilising the symbolism of the waters that bring life. The horse ride starts its journey in “The Soul of the Ebro”, continues through Avenue 2008, turns into District 50, continues along the Topic Plazas to finish back at the starting point.
