More than 90 experts and representatives from some 20 countries met in Saragossa to on the occasion of the launch and analysis of the Spanish version of the 2nd UN World Water Development Report.
In addition to the public release of the Report, a number of renowned experts offered up an overall vision of the situation in Spain and in countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The discussion was focused on themes related to governance, the value of water, and the Millennium Development Goals.
In a parallel event, a public session was held on ‘Large cities and water’: this theme was illustrated with the airing of a documentary film on water in the megalopolis of Ciudad de México.
