The second session of the Permanent Forum on Water and Sustainability (FOPA) focused on the theme of innovation with the aim of establishing an overview of current knowledge with regards to water resources. The aim was also to present the strategies, projects and processes that would create the space for advances in the field of water resources sustainability.
The dialogues and debates that took place during this 2nd session allowed strategies to be defined with regards to water resources management, thanks in particular to the identification of Spain’s most pressing challenges, and the challenges faced more generally by the Mediterranean basin. Participants also tried to identify existing challenges and limitations to the application and development of the most promising innovations.
