backWithin the framework of a series of debates organized by the Biodiversity Foundation, this event allowed participants to look at the current situation with regards to the cost recovery of water services. This issue was examined from the perspective of all water uses.
This analysis was followed by a debate on the new regulations introducing the Water Framework Directive for water supply for the population, as well as the agricultural and industrial sectors. Over the course of the day, participants considered possible actions and proposals for allowing administrations and user organizations to implement the principle of cost recovery.
Mr. Domingo Jiménez Beltrán, consultant to the Water Tribune, moderated the event and briefly presented the activities of the Water Tribune.
