backThe FLAPP (Flood Awareness and Prevention Policy in border areas) network is financed by the European Union and brings together local and regional experts from the European region. The programme’s aim is to help the sharing of knowledge and experiences so as to prevent, manage, and diagnose floods.
The final conference of the FLAPP project, which was hosted by the Hydrographic Confederation of the Ebro basin and organized in collaboration with the Water Tribune, presented the programme’s main results, including:
- a book of best practices at regional and local level;
- a joint approach to improve flood management across borders;
- practical policy recommendations for local, national, regional, and international governments in Europe.
