Mikhail Gorbachev, Federico Mayor Zaragoza, Rigoberta Menchú… Some of the most influential people of recent times have made a commitment to Expo Zaragoza 2008 in order to increase its Legacy. Over fifteen original essays, born from the critical and thought provoking pens of outstanding writers, will comprise the Water Words collection. The aim of these works will be to bring the basic issues concerning water and sustainable development closer to the general public through the publication of brief essays in three different languages (Spanish, English and French), which will comprise a basic bibliographical collection.
To date, four important personalities from the world of politics, science and law have confirmed their adherence to the Water Words collection. The vast majority of them will submit their essays during the course of Expo Zaragoza 2008 in the Water Tribune pavilion.

Water Words will be published in a format which is both attractive and easy to handle, and, through the use of clear, direct language, aims to have an impact on everyone. Its price will also make it easier to bring it closer to society and to broadcast its ideas, as it will be accessible to every sector of the population. Water and Sustainable Development from the perspective of literature, science, activism, international relations or politics will be found in a collection which has been created to grow from the end of the International Exposition.
